๐ How to Apply Your Press-On Nails
Follow these steps for a flawless, salon-quality application that lasts up to 2+ weeks.
Step 1: Prep Your Nails
- Wash: Clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
- Push: Gently push back your cuticles using a wooden cuticle pusher.
- Buff: Lightly buff the surface of your natural nails to remove the natural shine.
- Wipe: Clean each nail with an alcohol prep pad to remove oil and dust. Let dry.
Step 2: Apply the Adhesive
- For Short Wear (1–3 Days): Apply a double-sided adhesive tab directly to your natural nail.
- For Long Wear (2+ Weeks): Apply a small drop of nail glue to the back of the press-on nail. Add another small drop to your natural nail.
Step 3: Press & Hold
- Align: Place the press-on nail at a 45-degree angle, just slightly under your cuticle line.
- Press: Press down firmly from the center out to the edges to eliminate air bubbles.
- Hold: Hold pressure tightly for 15–30 seconds per nail.
- Dry: Avoid getting your hands wet for at least 2 hours after application.
Removal Instructions
๐งผ How to Safely Remove Your Press-On Nails
Never rip or force your press-on nails off, as this can damage your natural nails.
Step 1: Soak
- Mix: Fill a bowl with warm water, a few drops of dish soap, and a spoonful of cuticle oil.
- Soak: Submerge your fingertips and soak them for 10–15 minutes to loosen the adhesive.
Step 2: Lift Gently
- Check: Gently nudge the edges of the nail with your wooden cuticle stick.
- Repeat: If the nail does not lift easily, soak for another 5 minutes.
- Remove: Gently peel the press-on nail away starting from the sides.
Step 3: Aftercare
- Clean: Buff away any leftover glue residue from your natural nails.
- Store: Clean the back of your press-ons and place them back in their storage case for reuse.
- Hydrate: Finish by applying cuticle oil to your natural nails and cuticles.
